Hi,

I just added CEGlide, and a few other software solutions.

Thanks,

Paul Remde

CEGlide isn't included http://www.ccsi.com/~inadas/ . I've used CEGlide
connected to a $95 Garmin, to a Volkslogger, and now to a Cambridge.
Because the polar formula is constructed from as many points along the

curve
as you want/can define, I believe the speed to fly information is better

in
CEGlide. I nailed a 40nm final glide in a PW5 using CEGlide, so you know
the gravity polarity reversal feature works right too ;-)

Hi,

I will be giving a talk at the SSA convention at 1 PM on Thursday on the
topic "Soaring Flight Computer Comparison". I am determined to give an
unbiased look at all the available flight computer/logger systems.

As you may know, I am a dealer for Cambridge Aero Instruments, and I

sell
and support Glide Navigator II software. I have never flown with

anything
other than Cambridge products, so I need your help to make my

presentation
correct.

I have already done a lot of research on the web. I have updated my
"Soaring Flight Computer Comparison" spreadsheet as a starting point for

the
presentation. I would greatly appreciate any specific feedback you can
offer to help me complete and correct the spreadsheet. It is available

at:

n.pdf

I would also appreciate 1st hand feedback on the flight computer system

you
fly with. I'm looking for quotes for the presentation. I'd love quotes
like, "I love the thermal strength vs. altitude graph in my SN-10". I

will
only use your name if you tell me it is OK to do so.

This newsgroup is a great connection to soaring pilots with vast

experience
with various flight computer systems. I would greatly appreciate your

help.

You can reply to this newsgroup, or to me directly.

Thank you,
Paul Remde
