Flying after a year of nothing!

I haven't flown in over a year. When I stopped flying I was a few hours
short of my stage two exam for my private pilot license. I know I screwed
myself over by not flying for so long but what material should I review
before even talking to my instructor.

It never hurts to read through the FARs and your aircraft's POC (if you
happen to have one), but the most important thing is to get
yourself back under the wing of a good instructor and fly.

Just do it.

I agree, FAR part 91 to start, Aircraft POH and start looking
over a sectional.

I assumed it would be a wasted effort, but for the benefit of all concerned
