Default Twin tail design (ercoupe, etc.)

I am looking for design criteria for twin tails vs. conventional. For
instance, what is the usual ratio of area for twin vertical fins vs. a
single one--1:1?

If anyone knows this ratio for the Ercoupe early models vs the M-10,
that might be helpful.

Any old aeronautical design books deal with this?

Thanks!

Kinda doubt the 1:1. look at the difference between the B-24 and PB4Y.
