this one actually made the cut at airliners.net (of course I've had a
couple hundred rejected too... )

Very nice too!

I wish I could afford a lens that could do as well. My Nikkor 70-300VR does
a reasonable job, but the image quality comes nowhere near what you are able
to achieve.

this was taken duing a relatively close pass with a Nikon 70-200 F2.8 VR
lens....
