If one feels that one must have a new Quintus, does that mean the glider is
quintessential?

Probably so. However, considering the cost of nearly a quintillion
Euros, most prospects will have to be satisfied with merely
contemplating its quintessence.

OK, people keep asking about the performance.
Max LD about 60:1, at about 80 knots with full ballast
(almost 70 knots when dry).

Of course, the real fun is when you fly much faster.

Should be adequate ;-)
