Default Help with Cambridge 302 output

I would like to test the interface and because of that I need the Cambridge
302 instrument output. I would like to ask 302 owners if they can send me
the instrument output.

You can record the output with Hyper Terminal program (standard Windows
Accessory). Connect the 302 to the PC and start Hyper Terminal. Than:
1. Create new connection with 4800 bps, 8 bits no parity and one stop
bit settings.
2. Use option Transfer - Capture Text... option.

If you need more information please send me an Email.

Please send the file with the output to the:

uros.podlogar_at_flywithce.com (exchange _at_ with @).

Thank you for the help.

Regards

Uros

I don't have a 302 at present. I assume that you have
looked at the 302 dataport users guide on the Cambridge
site? See:

Hi Uros,

I'll help you if no one else will. Since I sell competitive software
products, I would prefer that you get it from another friendly volunteer.
But if no one else will step up to the plate, I'll help you out. I think
it's good for us to have a friendly relationship as I do with many
competitors.

Let me know if you need my help.

Good Soaring,

Uros

Beware !

When downloading flight logs using a PC, the Cambridge 302 is
commanded by the PC Utility program to switch the baud rate from 4800
to 115200 so that it takes less time to complete. There is a baud
rate switching command in the Dataport Users Guide that was mentioned
previously. So, you need to be able to switch baud rate after the PC
first connects, then switch back again at the end of the download.
For basic instrument configuration, it stays in 4800 baud mode.

Another useful (and free !) program to capture the data is RealTerm
(http://realterm.sourceforge.net/). With two serial ports on your PC,
you can run it in "Monitor" mode and capture both sides of the
conversation.

Good luck

Jason
