I don't see any reference to year indicated on engine data plate in the
overhaul manual...

Before Divco got their hands on it, my A-65 8F crankcase had a dataplate
on it with the year (1940) on it. I'm sorry this doesn't even address
your question.

seems like there should be a serial number to date of manufacture list somewhere, assuming the engine has a dataplate on
it...
