Default KDR-510 question (VDL Mode 2 receiver?)

Hi,

just one question. It's not clear from what I found - is KDR-510 just
a VDL Mode 2 RECEIVER?! For more than $5000 that's not much of
functionality.

Anyone has service/installation manual? I'd like to have a look.

Just digging through ATN and VDL2,3,4 specifications :-) If it's just
a receiver it should be more in $500 range :-/ But then designing
portable uncertified one should be fairly easy :-)

If it had to send requests too, rules change a lot :-/

Thanks,
