"26.9.05 Practice on Saturday was a windy affair but flyable for the Brave. 2T ventured out the furthest, got to almost 15 000 ft, where his GPS told him "wind speed was 45 knots". Yesterday a task was set for all classes (two sectors starting from Ventersdorp and Koster with various time limits. The wind on the ground increased to about 30 knots with an increasing westerly component. By 1 pm it was decided that conditions were unsafe especially for potential "outlanders" and the day was cancelled. Two piots took a launch in the afternoon and enjoyed 10minute flights each. Today looks more windy than ever. The Club Class has already been told "no task!" For the rest there will be another briefing on the runway at midday. Well...."
