Leafnode wrote: Hello, Who knows the best oil/gas ratio for a 90HP 2 strokes engine with synthetic oil. Thanks ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Your question is far too narrow for max reliable two stroke performance and engine life, IMO. Unless you are convinced of something already... you might find that the oil itself is just as important. Check google for all the info you can get your hands on to be an informed user and consumer. Best results GENERALLY from following the manufacturer's recommendations TO THE LETTER. They know of what they speak. That would include type and possibly brand of oil. There are plenty of 'experts' that will disagree and lead you down the garden path to landing in the trees. Look for them right here in RAH. g BEWARE. Barnyard BOb -- Caveat Emptor |

And I just run a little more oil than recommended in my garden implements.
Just so they smoke a bit. Changing spark plugs at $1.50 each is a lot cheaper than changing pistons......... Of course, for aircraft use, you would want to run at least two regularly changed plugs......... Peter |

I used 90:1 NPG synthetic oil with 115/145(I don't think that it is still
available) avgas in my 90hp Mac and never had a seizure. It did, however, require cleaning the Platinum tipped plugs every 10 hrs. Stu Fields ex Benson driver "Leafnode" wrote in message ... Sir,it has been so long that I can not remember the ratio. You might want
to go to the popular rotorcraft website and ask there.I do know that you have to do a lot of work to make them reliable. You can e-mail me and I can try to get you a list of the recomended changes. You can not beat them for power to wt.,but please make the changes.Jim |

Hello, Who knows the best oil/gas ratio for a 90HP 2 strokes engine with synthetic oil. Thanks Go to www.rotaryforum.com. There are enough rotorheads flying Macs there to fill a prison...which is where a lot of them came from. ;) |
