Default Snobird Gyro

Oh, by the way, go to: http://www.geocities.com/bwbpilot/ and see
Kevin Morris and I flying my Snobird. I have to sell it I think. I
just have too much stuff in my hangars down there. I'm in this thing
about $12,000 and I'm going to sell it for about $8500 if anyone knows
someone who might want it.

It has an electric start on a liquid cooled Rotax 582 and also an
electric pre-rotator to get the main rotor blades up into autorotation
all on their own. It's a ball to fly. I just don't ever seem to get
to it. It's slow, you know, like about 80 mph top speed or so. It
flies best at about 60. It's fun to sit out there in the open and fly
it, but it just doesn't go anywhere. I fly it around the dry lake bed
for a couple hours until I get my fill then put it on it's trailer and
bring it back home for 3 months. That's no way to treat a nice flying
machine. I just have too much crap to fly. I'm going to sell my RV-6
too. I have about 450 hours TTAE on it. Just put a Tru Trac attitude
indicator in it so I can roll and loop it without spinning an
expensive gyro. I'm going to sell it as is for about $45k if anyone
wants it. They cost about $80k to build now. If it doesn't go away
fast, I'll take it apart and paint it, then sell it. The paint is
about a 6 on a one to ten...but it's a straight airplane. I'm flying
it over the Sierras to Modesto on Sunday since I don't have all the
time flown off my Lancair yet. It flies good, burns no oil, has new
tires, prefect prop, etc.

Email me if any of you are interested at

Flying deathtraps.... If you get the true wind on the top of the blade,
you're done for, period. I know of no other aircraft where one mistake
WILL kill you....

I know one accident doesn't make a trend, but a guy in my EAA chapter
who was a HUGE Gyro proponent (he sold kits, quite succesfully) took a
nose dive on final and now has his own set of wings... I'll fly in
anything else, Gyros just scare the sh^t out of me....
