Default FAI Evaluation Testers Wanted!

Seeking 10 - 20 volunteers to test a new spreadsheet system for FAI claim
analysis, now posted on Windows Live (aka "Sky Drive").

Do you have 3 to 5 minutes to spare AND...

... at least one data file generated by an IGC-approved Flight Recorder or
an NAC-approved Position Recorder;

... Excel 2007 or 2010, installed on a Windows-based computer (Otherwise,
macros needed for evaluation won't work!)

... a quad core i7 (preferred) or other PC with at least 2 GB of ram and a
dual core 1.8 GHz processor; screen resolution must be at least 1280 x 720;
and

... are you also willing to share feedback to guide further development and
an "FAQ"?

If so, please respond by September 15 to:

I'll get back to all responders ASAP with more information.

Thanks!

Judy Ruprecht

You may like to consider that Windows is becoming less important,
and that will continue for the foreseeable future. Requiring windows
will,
over time, decrease the customer base for the spreadsheet.

Windows is being slowly (or not so slowly if you believe some
zealots)
by
- Android on tablets and smartphones
- Apple's IOS on Macintosh and tablets/IPads/IPhones
- various web-based spreadsheets, including those by Google
and, in the near future, Microsoft
- Microsoft's smartphones can, for the moment, be ignored

There is a reasonable argument that tablets and smartphones will
dominate for mobile applications, e.g. at the launchpoint or in the
clubhouse

You may care to consider a spreadsheet that isn't tied to Windows,
either because it is available for all operating systems, or because
it
is web-based; there are several examples of each of those.
