Default Pretty colors!

Have you ever wondered what all those pretty colors on the various radar
maps you see mean and compare to the different sources?

Yep, good article. The only item I would have appreciated seeing on the chart
would have been the actual precip return strength in DBZ and perhaps that new
ATC precip classification (light, moderate, heavy, etc). But this chart is an
excellent starting point.

would have been the actual precip return strength in DBZ and perhaps that new
ATC precip classification (light, moderate, heavy, etc). But this chart is an
excellent starting point.

No, no article.
There is an interesting podcast on AvWeb that led me to the website.
The podcast is basically a teaser to subscribe to IFR.
