Lightnings. That dates me

I'm not sure if I ever saw a Lightning display team - I'm sure I'd
remember, it's still one of my favourite aircraft. I do remember when
the Red Arrows had Gnats - nearly 50 years ago!

Much later (only 25 years ago), I didn't bother visiting Farnborough
airshow - because I used to live just behind that ridgeline you can see
at the back of the 'Shoot Out' pictures. Out of the back garden gate, up
a little woodland path, and behold! - the airshow for free
