Default Questions about the FAA

If you were to grade the FAA today 9/14/2006 what would you
give it?

Do you think the FAA should be privatized and self funding
rather than a empire building tax whore?

I give the FAA an overall grade of D

1. Technology Innovation F
2. Air Safety oversight D
3. Movement of aircraft on a daily basis B
4. Safety focus D
5. Brain Power C
6. Tax revenue spending F-
7. Fielding of new technology on budget and on time F
8. Dealing with weather in the system D
9. Workforce Morale D
10. FAA Management competency F

I say remove all FAA functions from Government

What say you??

I'd give it an over-all B-.

Airline passengers should have NO place at the FAA table.
The idea of stakeholders at the FAA is silly. The airline
companies should be allowed to set their services to attract
passengers.

Airplane owners, operators and pilots/mechanics are
regulated by and should have a voice.

Too much controlled airspace and too many restrictions.

The FAA is a regulatory agency. Regulatory agencies are inherently
government functions.

Having said that, there are some components of the FAA that perform
services that are not regulatory as such, and could be privatized.
