Default Sensitive altimeter requirement for experimental registered glider?

I found 91.205 which refers to powered aircraft with a standard airworthiness, but was curious if anyone else might be able to point to a requirement for a sensitive altimeter for an experimental registered glider?

Many of us probably have one or more electronic altimeters which are easier to read than the sensitive type. Was hoping I could legally remove the sensitive altimeter to make room for an instrument I'd actually use. I personally haven't looked at my sensitive altimeter in flight once in the last 3 years. The 302 is always easier to read.

look to your operating limitations for instrument requirements. standard issue experimental amatuer built operating limitations do not have any instrument requirements for day VFR flight but you must comply with 91.205 for night and/or IFR. yours may not read that way plus I assume yours is Experimental Exhibition/Racing which may be different. Mine did not read that way originally on the Cherokee until I had them changed.
