Default Wargame Realism

In the article at:

http://www.belmontclub.blogspot.com/...38134480 9028

The desire is expressed for a game that simulates "The fog of
bull$#it" in
modern combat ops.

Is there any game out there that even comes close?

If you were making a wargame, what realistic touches would you add?
