Trip to Dallas II
"Ross Richardson" wrote: Wow. You could have gotten it for $2.94/gal at KSWI just aout 48 miles north. And then paid for 50-mile cab rides to my hotel and back? AirNav shows no rent cars available at Sherman. But let's say there had been a Hertz counter there. To save $85 on 40 gallons of gas, I would have had to put myself at least an hour's drive in Dallas traffic from my destination, instead of the 10 minutes from DAL--not to mention the time I would have spent fueling my airplane myself. Kinda kills the time efficiency of using my own aircraft vs. taking a commercial flight. The nice thing about using Regal at DAL is the convenience. It is in a great location and the staff is very efficient. All I had to do was taxi up, sign for the rent car and go; Regal took care of everything else. That saved me a lot of time and my time is worth money to me and my business. -- Dan C172RG at BFM |

Trip to Dallas II
Dan,
I was thinking more of leaving DAL and getting your fuel prior to your return home. We do have rental cars in town but I agree the cost/time factor is not in your favor. ------------- Regards, Ross C-172F 180HP KSWI Dan Luke wrote: "Ross Richardson" wrote: Wow.
