I saw an ad in my current Trade-a-Plane for a "new from the factory" Bf 109F
still in its original shipping crate as manufactured in 1942.

Has anyone heard anything about this find? I wonder if it's a scam?

What a find--wow.

Cheers:

Until proven otherwise, I'd put it in the same class as the $100 Jeeps
and the "warehouses full of Harley 45s" that people occasionally talk
about.

Would be cool but, as they say in Missouri, "Show Me".

Can you send a scan of the ad?

Copyright??? I'm loath to do that.

It's in the warbirds section of the second January 2006 issue.

You should find one at your local FBO

Thanks for the info. As the scan is for personal use/ research and not
profit copying is allowed but no problem.
