Default Prowler squadrons cuts

Hearing all such news all over again I cannot resist the impression
the U.S. military is going to a catastrophe, like - for example -
facing the lack of tactical electronic warfare aircraft when a next
local war breaks out. When the time is a key factor, they finally may
have to choose the off-the-shelf solutions which are almost ready and
at hand (like replacing A-6E community by the fleet of F/A-18C and
LANTIRN-equipped F-14s).

More and more spendings on war in Iraq, heavy investments in
revolutionary technologies like F/A-22, F-35, B-2 or MV-22, with
spendings increasing and procurement numbers rapidly decreasing.
People are made redundant, planes are made redundant, ships are made
redundant. Is that really a good direction?

Best regards,

Jacek Zemlo
