Al,

Was that an apology? Didn't sound like an apology!

You're gonna have to drop off more than the old one, depending on what you'd
like a new one made of, it would be nice to have suitable material to chuck
into the lathe. When you're looking, it should be shiny, silver, and
preferably hard - - as your future may depend on it, it would be good to
have the right stuff. Flying in the face of JJ's recommendation, it would be
best to avoid pink material if possible.

It wasn't an oboe more like an 80yr old little old lady who had just
eaten a can of beans!!
(now everyone pucker your lips like your going to kiss and blow
hard.... that was the sound)

So disgusted at the distraction to the flight it was making I ripped
it off and ejected it from the plane.

However........

The Illustrious Mr Morgan did install an new version on the front
cockpit of the DG1000 when we flew it last and I must say there was a
small but noticeable lowering of noise in the cockpit (telling Leo
stop complaining about the O2 level helped a lot too )
So if you have an aversion to wind noise and don't eat beans before
flying then the Quiet vent MkII might just be the thing you need.

There you go John.....

now can you please turn me up a new spar pin, I will drop the old one
off to you on Friday

Regards

Al

Bob,

Actually, they do. There's an unsubstantiated rumor of a fairly complete
machine shop in bumper's hangar. Maybe Al has been ashamed to ask as he's
overwhelmed with guilt over bad-mouthing the wildly popular "Quiet Vent"
(he
flew in Leo's glider with a defective, superseded earlier version that
buzzed like an oboe!).

Hey Al,
I saw a dildo in a sex toy store that looked a lot like a main wing
pin.......painted pink. Could that be yours?

Contrary to JJ's love of sex toys and soaring, the old one is a steel
pin.
It has a flange at the end with a locking bar that goes through it.

Roger thinks he has some bar stock that will work and he will call you
after I give him the OD of the the current one.

Cheers

Al

Hey, Al
I just found 25 & 30 mm pins in the barn.....................what
size do you need? Guess we could soak one in a VIAGRA solution if your
receptical is bigger and there's the length to
consider........................I'm told its best when you touch the
bottom and fill up the sides,
JJ
