Default Boyer retires - Catastrophic mission failure

Yup, as usual the absurd press releases are worthy of an old Pravda
reporter:

"When Boyer took the controls in 1991 (only the third president in
AOPA’s 69-year history), the GA industry was in crisis, beaten down by
product liability lawsuits. "

I guess everything is great now, unlike in 1991, thanks to the
political power and astute leadership of Boyer the Destroyer. He
turned it around, and increased the pilot ranks with his ideas to hold
open houses at GA airports and for people to cut and paste his
ridiculous talking points into letters to the editors.

LOL. At least when the user fees take effect, he will not be blamed.
He can, of course, take credit for incredible financial management:

"His new ventures funded novel GA advocacy and member benefits, while
holding AOPA dues to $39."

But wait:
"Boyer upgraded AOPA management and member service, resulting in a 40-
percent membership growth"

So his special interest advocacy organization actually had a 40%
revenue increase -- what did they do with all that money? I know they
hired some folks to write (barely legible) articles and lobby (so far
unsucessfully) Congress to block the user fees.

The legacy of Boyer ends -- a legend to the others at AOPA who write
his accolades. A hack, special interest enemy of the taxpayer in the
real world, though...
