The I-Tec Maverick flying car: neat!
I'm afraid I hadn't heard of this flying car project befo
http://www.itecusa.org/maverick.html It is really more an off-road vehicle that happens to be able to fly than a "flying car," but still impressive (I think.) While Terrafugia gets the press (more power to them) I'm impressed with the simple but elegant solutions to the problems posed by the Maverick design requirements. (As an aside, I belatedly learned of the Maverick project through a reply that Sebastian Heintz of Zenith Aircraft made to a comment I made on an EAA group thread on the Terrafugia on http://www.linkedin.com Didn't realize he was a member of LinkedIn, but it is nice to know. I don't have accounts on Facebook or Myspace or other social network site, but do find LinkedIn useful as an automatically updating Rolodex of professional connections.) |
