That's just so we have enough to give out to the rest of the world

You need to catch up on current events. The U. S. is living off
money we borrow from foreigners.

You are right a significant sector of our economy is supported by investment
cash from other countries. Yet we still provide more foreign aid than any
other two countries combined. (Well almost, UK and Japan combined do a
little more than we do. But it is close enought for government work.)

If you do take the time to look at that page please note that "The New
Superpower" China isn't even in the top 22. While Luxembourg and New Zealand
are.

We know "kind of where he is" but we still can't find him in our own

wonder why we can't find Osama either.

It's not a wonder at all.
Osama, if alive, is living with friends and supporters. He's probably
not in a real cave, but I suspect he doesn't go shopping in a mall
much either. Under these circumstances, he would be difficult to find
if he was in an open flat desert.

By this time, I suspect that Steve Fossett is lost among the rocks,
his plane probably only a few burned shards amongst a whole lot of
rocks, many of them volcanic and therefore "burned" in appearance. If
Fossett were alive, (and I still hope he is...) he is probably trying
to assist in his finding--mirror, fire, etc.
