Back in the early 60's I remember watching a television

once a week. I was in grade school at the time and never
missed an episode.

I can distinctly remember curled-toed X-2 landings, the
audio-from-mic-in-oxygen-mask dialog and the Sabre dance.

Anyone know what I'm thinking about?

Steve Canyon? It was one of my favorite comic strips in the '50's and
I was pretty excited when they made a tv show out of it. Pretty dumb
show, but I watched it religiously.

Hmmm...I was two when that show ran. The earliest I remember is Sky King in
his Beech, in re-runs and his C-310 in later shows. That and Whirlybirds.

Here are a bunch of Sky King episones:

That wasn't a twin-Beech.
Google Bamboo Bomber. It's a Cessna.

Yes, you're right. My memory ain't what it used to be...which was much then,
either.

We'd walk around the house acting goofy, like puppets (with our lower lip
curled under) pretending to be the Thunderbirds.

Thunderbirds - I seem to remember them being on Sunday mornings.
