Is there an instructor certificate for Sport Pilot that is distinct from a
standard CFI?

If yes, what is the difference in standards or requirements to get one of
these? Can one instruct Sport Pilot using a drivers license instead of a 2nd
class?

Yes, subpart "K". See part 61

Sport Pilot rating, Knowledge & practical test(w/ endorsements by an
instructor), 150 hrs TT.

Can one instruct Sport Pilot using a drivers license instead of a 2nd
class?

Yes, as can any flight instructor. (assuming he/she need not be pilot in
command)

But a sport pilot CFI CAN be PIC while using his/her drivers lic as a
medical as long as it's in an LSA qualified plane.....

True. The PIC comment was(poorly) aimed at the requirement for a subpart "H"
instructor.
