There's no write up happening on the SSA page. Is there somewhere else that one can find the descriptions of what is going on there?

Gary, look at the OLC for yesterday and see what some of the guys are saying. Seems like most landed out because of ka boomers @ the airfield. Some did safety finishes.

Check Sorenson or Tyler on the OLC as they wrote something up about it in their comments box.

Best. Tom #711.

Region 10 Day 2...
Day went nuclear with 16 of the 18 landing out. Cut a 2.5 hr task into 1.3 hrs to not land out.

R10 Day 2. Storms arrived a little earlier than expected. Had to run the motor but didn't have quite enough range to make it home comfortably so landed at an airport on the way.

2.5 hr TAT
start: True Blue 5 mi, 4000' max
Giddings 30mi
Fair Weather 15mi
Anderson 15mi
SCOH 2mi, 1300' min

A great run with Mike in XL5 out to Giddings and back -- until Brenham. Saw a wall of storms and decided to play it safe and land at Brenham. Took an aerotow back to SCOH after the weather cleared. 4 people landed out at Brenham, 7 at Navasota, 2 at Coulter and 1 in a field. A few people did make the task with the 15mi safety finish in place.

Here's a few comments. Best. Tom.

There is a good day 2 write up on the glideport.areo page for this contest. Glideport.aero is also a great place to watch the flights as they happen.
