Default Vertex VXA-220 Book Memories

Hi, need some help:

I recieved a new VXA-220 tranciver.
It came with a "Book Memories" full with USA frequencies.
How can this memory bank be cleared?
The manual only explain how to clear a regular memory.
For the "Book memories" it only explain how to enter new ones, in a
procedure called "Field programing Mode".
