You have to remember that MMarines got union wages, while soldiers
got nothing (comparably).

Even today MMarines get killed and attacked by pirates. They deserve
respect, and a memorial, but they did it for the money, not the war. Thus
I would be against any of them getting any sort of Veterans benefits.

If they want compensation, tell them to see Jimmy Hoffa. They steel the
union blind and give it all to Ted Kennedy.
