Default Ivo Prop Blades - question

This may be a silly question, but at the moment I am having a difficult
time visualizing this in my head...

Are the IVO prop blades able to be "reversed" with regards to direction
of rotation (counter-clockwise to clockwise) and still provide thrust
properly..?

No. They have a pre-molded-in twist for right or left hand rotations.
The extra twist (+ or -) via the cam does nothing to the pre-twisted
root... just the outer 30% of the blades.

Even if you flipped them over, they have an airfoil profile that will
cease to be of any useful effect in generating full thrust... like
flipping a wing upside down... just won't create the proper lift.

No one else is biting, so I'll shoot.

Even if you can turn them all of the way around, the camber of the airfoil
would be backwards. Although you would get some thrust, it would be at the
cost of a GREAT loss of efficiency.

Yes it would be like mounting the left wing upside down on the right
side and vice versa.

Thanks,.. again I apologize if it sounded bone-headed.. I needed to
validate something with the group.

I appreciate the response,
Dave

No. Wish they could be.

You don't need an aerodynamically efficient shape in order to generate
lift or thrust, but you do need a positive angle of attack. Even a flat
1x6 pine board will generate lift that way. Seems to me the Ivoprop
would work backwards, but not well.
my 2 cents.
