A Volksplane cropduster! Wow. And they even misspelled the pilot's name.

Dico
Hello,

products like garmin 430/530 talk with a MFD or a EHSI or Auto Pilot.
I'm pretty technical and i'm just interested to see if I can get a
couple products like the above from ebay and just make them talk back

Bubble injection behind the step on seaplanes by
Adam Aulick
I have been reading up on seaplanes (Seaplane Operations, by Cesare Baj
and Dale DeRemer) and one frequently repeated fact is that it is very
hard to get a seaplane up on the step on glassy water, because the lack
of bubbles under the float/hull causes the heel of the float/hull to
adhere to the...

oddball RFI problem by
Tri-Pacer
I recently installed an EI FP5L fuel flow instrument in my Tri-Pacer. I
would notice that at irregular intervals, it would reset it self. I'd catch
the green Remaining LED flashing as it does after a power on self test. I
could never get it to fail in flight. I pulled and prodded all the...

Ethanol & capacitance fuel-level sensors by
Adam Aulick
So, Jim Weir has posted some time ago in one of his columns, a design
and instructions for home-building a reliable fuel-level sensor which
uses capacitance and no moving parts to measure fuel quantity.
And many hombuilt aircraft use auto engines that don't mind (some) ethanol.
And auto fuel...

Pump driven prop???? by
Montblack
On the stern of some paddle-wheelers are the paddles. One I've been on had
its paddle-wheels run by pumps. Pump line ran out of the engine room and
terminated in a smallish box next to/attached to the wheel's axle.
Would that idea work for aircraft. Pump driven prop?
One advantage would be...

Starduster too anyone ? by
david
Anyone here built a SA300 Starduster Too?
Just after some experiences with the build and also experiences of dealing
with Aircraft Spruce in the US (I'm in the UK).
I am very tempted to make the SA300 my project, having looked at quite a
few.

Fowler flaps? by
TJ400
I am presently in the process of converting a PA-22 to a Sportsman 2+2.
Plans call for new wings to be buillt from scratch and I am
considering the use of Fowler flaps rather than conventional for
greater lift, reduced stall speed, steeper landing approach and better
angle of attack/ visibility...

monitoring pusher props by
Ernest Christley
Jim, you're always looking for simple DIY projects for your kitplane
articles, aren't you?
Some guys on the flyrotary list have be batting around ideas on how to
determine if the prop on a pusher is windmilling. Would a piece of
reflective tape and an optical pickup suffice?
