EAA Chapter 216 CRoss Keys NJ Photos by Digital_Vocals
EAA Chapter 216 CRoss Keys NJ Photos Lots of stuff this year. Different stuff each day, but Sundays Fly-In was much better. Including a Jet fly-by (N29DJ). That was the 1st jet I've seen at Cross Keys. Unfortunately I had too much lens for a full side shot, I still got a coming & going shot. I...

fuel flow on the cheap by pittss1c
Does anyone here have any experience with marine fuel flow instruments on aircraft? I was thinking of the Navman 2100 or Lowrance LMF-200. Are the transducers less fail-safe then their aviation counterparts? Should a transducer bypass be considered a "must have"? thanks Mike

Stainless lines and fittings, free for the taking by Richard Riley
Western Couplings at Mojave Airport has thrown away an entire dumpster full of stainless flex lines and couplings of every size and shape imaginable. They're in a big blue dumpster next to the UPS building. It's too far away for me to scrounge, but I thought I'd let people know.

Indoor flying by bizguy
Hi Group, As long as we are discussing merits of toy airplanes - have you seen this one? If you have I apologize in advance. This video was shot in a gymnasium with some really bad background music, but the flying is something else for a model airplane. If you are on dial-up this will take a...

Avionics Build It Yourself Manuals by RST Engineering
So for 35 years now we've been putting out our kits with two printed manuals per kit ... a "operations and maintenance" and a "construction and assembly" manual. Each of which costs us about $2 a manual. Not a big deal. I've got a wild hair that we can put out a digital CDROM set of manuals...

Rotax 912S issues? by ventus2
I have to say, I am a fan of the Rotax, though there have been two reports so far of the crankcase fretting and thereby clamping down on the crank bearings. The only way to tell this is by turn the prop by hand as it becomes quite hard to rotate eventually. I understand Rotax will be investigating...

I'm trying to locate a used Shadin fuel flow transmitter part number 660534S or 660534R for my project. A working pull with no documentation is just fine (as long as it works). Thanks! Larry Edit return to reply: larry at skagitmedia.com

rivet squeezer yokes by Jim Burns
I've got a question about the size of yokes on pneumatic rivet squeezers. If you have adequate room to work, is there any disadvantage of using a larger than necessary yoke? Say, I'm riveting a piece 1" wide material to another with a 5/16" overlap, obviously a 2" deep yoke will work, but why...

You airplane geeks will love this. My son bought his three-year-old an Air Hogs "Twin Fury" plane at Toys-R-Us on sale for $12.95 Saturday. This is a twin-engined pneumatically powered toy airplane that is very, very clever. Here's a link to a picture of...
