Hatz / Marquart Charger by
david
I'm thinking of building one of these in the UK (don't laugh, they still let
us do that sort of thing so long as we promise no to hurt ourselves.)
Has anyone got any relative expriences of the two?
I'm after a plane that will go somewhere (so IAS c100kts as a minimum) with
two adults (so a...

Who Besides AC Specialties Grinds Tappet Bodies? by
jls
We need 8 new ones (p/n 21608) or 8 re-ground, and those little jewels are
$80 a pop new. The engine is an A-65 Continental.
Such a wonderful little engine. Why doesn't anybody tool up and make these
great little powerplants?
Interesting thing about the tappets is that their faces are mushrooms...

A&P examiner in Seattle area? by
Mark
Hello.
I am ready to take my oral & practical exams for my A&P license. I have a
list of examiners in the Seattle area, but I am looking for recommendations.
Steve Knopp at P. Ponk Aviation always tops the list, but he is on
sabbatical until at least September.
Recommendations, anyone?
Thanks

Expirimental Crash Plant Cityl- No records on file? by

About a month ago a friend and I watched an expirimental aircraft crash at
Plant City in Florida.
It was a two seater ultralight, with a registered N number. We even helped
pick up the pieces
so to speak.
The gentleman piloting came in for a landing and I could instantly tell he
was having...

Murphy Super Rebel by
Doug
I am in the market for a Cessna 180. I have had a hard time finding a
good one and am wondering about a Murphy Super Rebel. It won't be used
commercially, so experimental would be OK. I can't build it though.
Don't have the time or expertise. I am wondering if I could hire
someone to build it or...

Paul Tomblin
Hi, I'm new here (but not to other rec.aviation groups - I was there

floats, and starting to think that a kit plane might be the only solution.
I was recently reading about the Sportman 2+2 and their "two weeks to

Water in our oil, or just alot of hot air? by
[email protected]
I just watched a program about the huge Oresund bridge between Denmark
and Sweden, and there was a segment about how the corrosion problem for
the bridge was dealt with. Instead of painting, they use sealed
compartments that have the air humidity kept below 60%. This they said
eliminates...

We used to mechanical instruments when we learnt fly in school. Whether
it is habit we can not accept digital meters. For example quartz
crystal watch, we almost accept it now. There few people using
mechanical watch. I think it is developing direction for digital
meters.
