Continental accessory case by
pwm
Does anyone know if a Continental O-200 or a C-75 rear accessory case will
fit an A-65? Reason for asking is that I'm wanting to add a starter and a
generator.
Thanks,
Monty

About Finished by

Buy this great 172G so I can roll the money over into another project.
I have been working on it for a dam* year and a half. Keeps me out of
flame wars.
You should see the powder-coated control wheels, what flashy little
darlins they are.

Oshkosh camping by
keepitrunning
Last time I was there I parked my airplane in the homebuilt parking and
camped next to it. I am wondering if a friend flew in with me in a
production aircraft, could we park together in the homebuilt parking or
would they have to go off with the production parking. Can you camp in the
production...

Oshkosh gate admission on Sunday 24th? by
Montblack
I've not been to Oshkosh on the first weekend, always later in the week.
Can you walk around looking at planes (for free) on Saturday 23rd and Sunday
24th? Show opens on Monday, July 25th. When do they start charging 'gate
admission' at Oshkosh?
What's open/available the first weekend vs. what's...

missing log entry by
OtisWinslow
I'm looking at an older Kit Fox and when I went through the log book
there's no entry that the Phase One testing was completed and yet the
plane has been flying for the last few years and has a couple hundred
hours on it. They have no idea how to get hold of the original builder.
Has anyone dealt...

Panel Planning website by
Gig 601XL Builder
There is a very basic FREE panel planning website out there somewhere. I
used it before but can't fot the life of me remember what the URL was.
I've Googled both the web and this group and can't find it. Anybody know it
off hand?

Unusual ECI Cylinder by
[email protected]
So I'm doing dry clearance on the lifters and one pushrod is jammed up
tight against the toe of the rocker arm, even with the lifter
collapsed.
Says the A&P/IA, "You didn't collapse the lifter."
"Oh, but yes, I did."
"How?"

Engine running again, the good, bad and ugly by
Corky Scott
I finally got my Ford V-6 going again after partially dismantling it
to repair a cracked timing chain cover. As I mentioned previously,
I'd noticed the crack in the timing chain cover the first time I
assembled the engine, but "repaired" it that time using some metalized
epoxy that was...

Dinged Up Prop by
[email protected]
A friend with an RV-6 and one of those beautiful wooden props dinged it
up with a rock or some kind of FOD. The damage left a half-inch notch
about 15 inches inboard of the tip, so he filled it with epoxy and went
on like nothing happened.
One day he was at altitude over Rutherfordton playing...

Sparkplug torque values by
Roger
I've spent the better part of an hour and a half on the net searching,
tried to get into the ABS site which appeared to be down, spend
several hours searching through what manuals I have, but I couldn't
find the torque required for the spark plugs in an IO-470N.
I did find the torque values for...

Control surface alignment by
[email protected]
I'm hoping the home built community can assist me with a small problem.
I own a glider that does not fly straight without applying a little
constant cross control (L stick and R rudder). If hands are removed
from the controls, it slips (or yaws?) to the left, and then the nose
gently swings around...

Starting a Super Cub Rebuild by
[email protected]
Anybody know of fuselage jigs in the Western North Carolina area or
vicinity?
Also, this aircraft had an O-235 engine with 105 HP. I'm considering
using an O-320A with 150 HP, which weighs just 10 or 20 pounds more.
Anybody got any advice pro or con about the engine change? TIA.

Oshkosh Bound Posters by
RST Engineering
The 2005 Oshkosh Bound documents are up on the website for download. There
are two zip files. One contains all the posters (camping, classic,
homebuilt, camping, etc) and the other contains a clean graphic of the
Ripon-Fisk-Oshkosh runway procedures.
Comments and error-reporting appreciated.
