Off topic, Gore and the internet (don't read if not interested) by
Corky Scott
To be merciful, I've changed the subject heading so that those who
don't care to read any more about this subject can simply delete it or
skip over without opening it.
I figured that there had to be more to Gore's one liner. Politicians
don't normally feed ammunition to the opposition so I looked...

Thanks to all: Jim Weir's - October 2000 (Understanding LED lamp indicators) by
dwbauer
My appreciation, and thanks to all who responded. Thanks to Jim for
supplying the circuit on his website. I finally got it to work, (I had
placed 180K resistors in parallel with the LED instead of 180 ohm
resistors). I suppose like everything else; It's all in the details. There
are many useful...

"orange peel" and dope by
Michael Horowitz
when applying buty.dope over a previous coat, one can get an 'orange
peel' effect. I see it mentioned on the Web, but no description of
what's actually happening.
Anyone know the answer, prevention, and recovery from the effect
(assume a 2 in. area)? - Mike

KR-20 manual by
Juan Jimenez
For those of you who may find a need for this (which probably won't be too
many of you), I put my copy of a KR-20 marker beacon receiver install and op
manual (with pinouts, that's why I put it up), on the site. You can download
a small PDF file at http://www.bd5.com/kr-20.pdf

A+ for Mooney (M-18) Mite website by
Montblack
I've seen quite a few airplane web pages over the years. I have to say, this
Mooney (M-18) Mite site is one of the better ones I've seen. This site does
many, many, many things right, IMHO.
One very, very minor nit is ...the (very good) Photos/History page is one
level down, in the Articles link....

[email protected]
First off, I'll order the appropriate butyrate thinner from ATS this
morning, so I'll be following the Ceconite process.
Yesterday I found myself out of thinner. Went to the net and got some
indications that lacquer thinner would act as a thinner. I have a frame
holding some Ceconite that's been...

Towplane strut problem by
John Sp
Our gliding club towplane (Piper Super Cub) has developed play in the
Fuselage / Main strut connection - Portside. The bolt and clevis (Fork)
seem to be OK bolt is a reasonably snug fit in the fork. - I presume the
play is in the hole in the Bracket welded to the fuselage. Play seems to
be about...
