oil leak question by
Dick
My Continental 85 is leaking oil and appears to be from pushrod tubes and
valve covers. It is on an experimental plane.
While I can cure the one leaking valve cover, the pushrod tubes have those
heavy "wirecircles with two tangs" over the rubber end fittings. Some tubes
are leaking at bottom and...

Kitplanes December - by
Roger
Watch out for this charter post. I don't trust it.
OK...Is this for real? It looks fishy to me.
The title is about KitPlanes, but the reply subject is USENET News has
moved. It *appears* to take you to charter cable, but there's too
much that doesn't add up. Besides, why would charter do this...

Instrument panel labelling options by
John Galban
My buddy and I were putting the finishing touches on the RV-10
instrument panel this weekend, when we got to wondering about how to
label the breakers.
He's found a place across town that will silk screen the lettering
onto the painted panel. This presents a bit a of a pain in the...

Sport Pilot inconsistency by
frustrated flier
I am unclear on two Sport Pilot issues: First, a new pilot may qualify
for a Sport Pilot ticket even though he or she takes a medication that
would preclude a 3rd class medical. However, an experienced pilot with
a higher ticket may not operate as a Sport Pilot if he lost a medical
last year for...

Smith Instruments repair by
Bob Babcock
I have a Smiths ASI that needs repair. Any shops that you guys could
recommend that do excellent work? A Canadian shop would be preferred
but a good US shop is not a real problem.
Thanks in advance.

Nosegear failed during taxi and had a wooden prop strike on pavement. prop

everything okay if no vibration and tracks true upon startup of new,

does not work wery well and there is an...
