Previous Vans- RV builders by
Iceman
Hello All,
I am getting ready to order the kit for RV-9. I would enjoy hearing
from the ones that have built or worked on the RV line. I would like
to hear of the good traits and bad ones also.
Please reply here so it can be shared.
Thanks

Ultralight crash in The Netherlands (EHLE) by

Sparse information at this time, but an ultralight with two p.o.b. has
crashed this afternoon at Lelystad Airport (EHLE), killing both persons.
There was a brief video on Dutch television showing what appears to be the
tail of this...

Carpeting options? - New Cessna's as an example by
BellSouth.net News
On the new Cessna 172's, Cessna uses a Black mat type carpeting in the
front, then it goes to actual carpet in the back.
I'm looking for a source for the black mat in the front to do the floor in a
Mooney. Anyone know what they use or where I might get some? I believe
it's a polypropylene type...

Vans RV-Light Sport Aircraft by
Dale
Got to thinking today about building another project and was wondering about
maybe Vans coming out with an RV-? that would fit the Light Sport Aircraft
catagory. With Rotax power and about 150 kt cruise. I'm not interested in
any Lycoming or certified power, nor any automotive power.
Could he do...

Cleveland Parking Brake Parts by
Jeff
I have a Cleveland parking brake line lock on my Dragonfly. The part number
is 60-5. It has developed a leak, the fluid is coming out of the body where
the actuator arm connects. I would assume there is an O-ring on either end
of the shaft that goes through the body, but I can not locate a...

Uh, Please, Sirs by
jls
May I ask a question which is arguably on topic? As among Airtech,
Ceconite, Polyfiber and the other covering systems, which is best and why?
One more, please?
Which is cheapest?
And finally, which is the best for your money and why? Thanks.

A busy month it's been for the Rogue's Gallery! (For those who may be new

To All Windrose Builders by
Eric Ward
Is there anybody out there building a Windrose? I've been building
mine on again off again for the past 10 years or so. It's a 15 metre
type and it's almost finished. What I'm doing now is the wing
finishing, which is alot of filling and sanding. But it's going really
well since I figured out how...

Vibration Testing by
Jim Weir
I've come across a marvelously cheap vibration sensor that I want to convert
into an engine vibration instrument for a Kitplanes article. The electronics
for me is relatively trivial...the mechanics of vibration are a little harder to
fathom.
From a mechanical engineering point of view on a...

Previous Vans- RV Builders by

Hello again,
These examples are what I wanted when I posted to this group. I want a
sense of accomplishment. An awakening of adventure. A safe and
affordable aircraft to build. That is why I went with Vans.
There are three of us that work on aircraft all day in our work lives.
Inside the three of...

Zzzzzzoom's business acumen by
Andy Asberry
I know it is a giant leap for many but let's assume Zoom was an
upstanding aviator/aviation writer. Why would he pay someone to
antagonize potential customers?
No matter how cute the Chihuahua, the tamale vendor would not keep him
if he peed on every customer's ankle.

Terra VOR-GS by
Paul Anton
I have a Terra TN200 VOR with GS, Tri-Nav indicator, tray, wiring harness

The local Avionics shop is loath to test and yellow tag it since they're not
set up for Terra. I don't want to send it to Eastern Avionics for yellow tag
so it is priced accordingly.
I live fairly...
