I posted a few that I found over on the Binaries page. Although I didn't ever take any photos of the Vopar on that operation, some of what I have, I scanned and they are at: Alt.binaries.pictures.aviation BWB

Glasair 1-RG first flight by R&R Sherwood
I now know the adrenaline rush that other builders get during their projects first flight. Last Jan 17th, after 11 years building, my Glasair 1-RG and I took to the sky. First flight was cut short because of high oil temps, I think the temps are now cured. So far we have 8 flights, testing...

Working Stainless Steel by Bob Babcock
Could I get some advice on working stainless steel and its properties? I want to work sheet and plate to about 1/8 thickness and have found this stuff very tough in the past. How would one drill and cut it with good results in a homebuilders shop? What types of saw blades and drills work best? I...

I made the 1st flight today of my Glasair G1-RG. I can't believe it has no roll tendencies or other rigging issues at all it flies hands off. I flew for 1/2 hour but the landing was not great, something to work on!! I started building 19 years ago this coming May. It climbs like crazy, Home sick...

A simpler plane to build... by WJ
I lurk here off and on, but I found something the other day that I thought you builders might get a chuckle from. Many of you are probably familiar with Lindsay Press. They dredge up old how-to books from the early days and reprint them. I was at a local technical bookstore today, and found a...

Ground tests & pilot logbook. by Paul Lee
Just a curious question here. Normally when I fly, my pilot logbook time starts when the hobbs meter starts ticking. That includes probably 10 minutes of taxing, runnup, etc. What about taxing tests on a experimental? Does that count?

BBS??? Weekly Chat??? Anybody up for it??? by Jim Weir
Hey, gang... Well, the Avionics BBS over on Yahoo was a spectacular failure. We had five posts in six months and we just let the board go away. There was a problem, though, that even as the administrator I found getting TO the board to be a royal pain in the tush. However, I get 8-10 posts a...
