Wow! I was searching for the whereabouts of N2733U and found this! I attended Sky Life in the summer of 1980. I solo'd in 33U on August 10, 1980. I had never been in that 172 prior and had never flown a 172 at all. Back then, you booked a plane and a pilot. Knowing I was set to solo and...

oddball Radio - FM / data on Airband frequencies by
jhh
I have a Motorola XTS3000 hand-held transceiver which I purchased some years ago. The radio has a Federal gov't history.
The radio has about 10 frequencies/channels programmed. When the xmit button is pushed, the radio will xmit until power is cut to the radio. This xmit is a 'data stream'....

I could not find a NG dedicated to drones or quadcopters.
This is not commercial, it is rather unusual, historic and fun.

I've been thinking about writing my story for many years. Thank you tot he guy who started this Post. You helped me to feel less alone, and to understand Lee better. I was a camper from 1978 to 1980, and was the head sailing instructor. Living in the cabins, running across the field and back...

Thunderbird crash in 72 by
[email protected]
The pilot was Major Joseph C. Howard. He attended NC State 1958-1962. I attended school with him 12 years in Ahoskie NC and 4 years at NC State. I spoke with him briefly by phone the Sunday morning of accident. The Air Force never makes public the cause of any crash. The F-4 had problems...
