Congratulations! Hard to go wrong with a 182, and it sounds like you
found a nice one

Well I did get my 182. I flew it from Jacksonville FL to Ft. Myers to visit my
parents. On the return trip (which only took 1:45:00) I called the CTAF at
Herlong Field to announce my position and pattern entry. The response on the
radio was quite surprising. They said, "Welcome Home K. C."

I had arranged for my tie-down and filled up with fuel on my flight out only 4
days earlier...and this was my 1st trip back to the field with my "new" plane.
Needless to say I am very pleased to feel so welcome at a great "small town
feeling" airport.
