It's true that with an all-aluminum monocoque airframe, the direct risk of
electrocution to the pilot is minimal.


It's called the Faraday Effect.

What it means (in non-tech talk) is that as long as you are surrounded
on all sides, top.bottom by
metal or electrical conductive material, you cannot be electrocuted by
lightning.

Works for cars, boats, aircraft. As long as it's metal, not fiberglass,
wood, plastic. And
you are enclosed. No open cockpit protection provided.
