oh, one more recommendation:

If you are not that much into tourists and don't absolutely need to
stand at the rim with a ton of them, just overfly GCN and go on to
Marble Canyon. Great little strip with a good restaurant right next to
it.

And if the weather should preclude going to GCN, do the Sunday Brunch
at Furnace Creek/Death Valley. They pick up from the airport, which is
at minus 200 feet or so.
