As I sit here sipping my chai tea with rum watching the snow blowing
and falling I'm remembering a saying that I first heard during my
primary training:
"I'd rather be down here wishing I was up there than up there wishing I
was down here."
Heh...
For some egocentric reason, all I could think about reading the coverage of
the East Coast weather was how they were stealing our thunder. Any other
day, the 80mph peak gusts and quarter million households without power would
have been national news. But the next day, is there any mention of the
Pacific Northwest's weather problems? Nope...the East Coast got all the
coverage.
It wasn't flyable around here that day either.
