Hi Jay,

Oh, I see... so when I posted my message about the freeware version of
my flight planner on Rec.Aviation.Piloting and was labeled a spammer
because I don't give away free database updates, then I am an evil
spammer and no one should buy from me.

When you post messages about your hotel on Rec.Aviation.Piloting, you
are just a friendly neighborhood inn-keeper and not a spammer.

I smell a double standard!

Why would it be any business of yours whatsoever if I click on a post?

Because the only reason Spam exists is because it works.

It's like telemarketing. If people had just stopped saying "yes!" there
would have been no need for a Federal "Do-Not-Call" list...

When you click on Spam and actually buy something, you are, in essence,
harming us all by perpetuating its existence.

(Assuming, of course, that it's universal to hate Spam emails and posts.)
