John Kerry (the democratic senator from Mass. and presidential
candidate) is a glider pilot. I ran into him one day at Estrella when
I was flying a rented 1-26 and he was behind me in line in their
Pilatus B-4. He even asked little ole' me what the conditions were
like that day...(I had just landed for a re-light, which may be a
redundant statement for a 1-26!).
