Where I live, I often see traffic out of TEB at about 2000'. A few days
ago, on a relatively clear but humid day, I saw something beautiful. Some
little business jet passing overhead suddenly started getting this swirling
mist trailing it. It was appearing from what appeared to be the full
length of both wings.

What causes that, water coming out of solution due to the airplane's wake?
How does the wake cause that? Or is it a low pressure area over the wing?
