I don't know...USS UNITED STATES seems to be jinxed. First one cnx'd
by Truman administration, second one renamed to USS TRUMAN....

Actually, the *first* USS United States was a pretty successful ship,
including winning a rather well-known single-ship duel with HMS
Macedonian back in the War of 1812. Of course, she did come to a sad
end (as CSS United States, believe it or not).
