I have noticed a related problem... that seems to be a bug in flight
plan retrieval.

On a couple of occasions during the last few months, I've wanted to
(slightly) modify a DUATS-filed IFR flight plan but could not retrieve
my filed plan in DUATS. Usually, this was one of a two flight plans I
filed for a training flight, and the desired modifications didn't
prevent my flight. In several instances I could retrieve only one of
the two plans I filed. However, when later requesting my clearances,
all the plans I thought I'd filed were available.

So, I've concluded the problem is the the flight plan retrieval
function in DUATS, possibly related to timing issues. I've found that
just because you can't retrieve a flight plan in DUATS, doesn't mean
it's not in the system.

I fly out of SQL and have not yet had DUATS lose any of my filed
plans...

I dont think they are getting lost, but they are just not being saved to the

after you file next time, choose the review flight plan and see if its there.

Anyone experiencing problems with this? Aside from the ADIZ and TFR crap.
I filed an IFR from LVK to SAC yesterday via duats and the clearance never
came
available. The tower told me that only about half of the flight plans filed
via
DUATS come up.
I found it strange. Back in 1999 when I was flying a C-340 for a guy, 80%
of my
IFR plans were filed via DUATS and never had a problem.
I am wondering if this is something new or if I have just been lucky in the
past.
