I know what you mean. When I got my first aviation job, I was a jack of all
trades: flew charter, manned the front desk, was a gopher in the maintenance
hangar, and a ramp rat out on the tarmac. On those days when I was scheduled to
fly, it was always "going to fly". All other days were "going to work".
Now I make a lot more money and the work is *much* steadier, but it's always
"going to work".
