I especially hate the "Hey old buddy, I got something really great to
show you." type of pitch, regardless of the source/product.
It took me less than a minute on their website to decide it was a very
interesting product of potential value to sailplanes. So, I'd say there
was "real meat" at the other end of the "spam".
I really loved the endorsements - like, you'd ever see an unfavorable one.
He named names, and if you are a paragliding/hangliding Brit, those
likely have real weight.
I suggest that a one-time spam for a potentially useful product deserves
a private email that cordially suggests a better way to attract our
interest. It's not like this outfit is trying to scam you from Nigeria.
